Did you know that scarring (fibrosis) can affect different organs in the body, not just the lungs? The DEMISTIFI study is an exciting research project that aims to understand more about the different causes of fibrotic diseases throughout the whole body.

What is BIG DATA? Demystifying the use of patient health data in research

Register for this free online event to find out more about this external research project.

Join the conversation held with the researchers on Tuesday the 5th December 6-7.30pm.

The DEMISTIFI Study (DEfining MechanIsms Shared across mulTI-organ FIbrosis to prevent the development of long-term multi-morbidity) is led by Professor Gisli Jenkins and a team of world-leading scientists. Their research, funded by UK Research and Innovation, aims to understand the causes of fibrosis, including the genetics of disease and the how the way we live ours lives might affect our risk of fibrosis.

This external event will be held with the researchers and explore further about how data is used in the DEMSITIFI project. It will answer your questions about data, about fibrosis and about what the researchers hope to achieve.
