Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF) is excited to announce the launch of a new initiative funding programme aimed at driving forward research into pulmonary fibrosis (PF) with our Small Research Grants.
Pulmonary fibrosis, a devastating lung scaring condition, has a life changing impact on all aspects of patients' and their families lives. As one of the major charities funding pulmonary fibrosis research in Europe, we know that investment is desperately needed so that everyone affected by the disease has hope for a better future.
The Small Grants Research Programme supports UK-based researchers in advancing evidence to improve care and treatment for people with PF. The application process is now open and will fund projects up to the value of £10,000.
We are particularly looking for researchers that can help with existing data by analysing trends, identify interventions, and addressing gaps in policy and practice. Those using qualitative research to capture patient and caregiver experiences to inform improvements in care. As well as researchers looking to identify knowledge gaps to help shape future research priorities.
Bradley Price, Director of Policy, Research and Involvement at APF said:
This new programme of research grants is an exciting opportunity to drive forward our understanding of pulmonary fibrosis in the UK and advance the future of treatment and care for people with PF.
We are so grateful to all our incredible fundraisers and supporters. Without you, this new research initiative would not be possible.
With your help, we are determined to make the greatest contribution we can to national and global research efforts.
