Kit Hollingsworth completed her very own half marathon recently and raised over £600 for APF.
Kit was ready to run in the Yorkshire Ryedale Half Marathon in July, but the event was sadly cancelled due to the hot weather. To honour the amazing support she received from her family and friends, Kit decided to carry on and run her own marathon regardless. Kit’s uncle was diagnosed in 2018 and was her inspiration to keep going.
“My uncle is the reason I wanted to raise money for APF. He was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2018 and since then, my family and I have seen how this awful condition develops and changes someone’s life. By running a half marathon, I hoped to raise money for APF and support their vision to find a cure for Pulmonary Fibrosis. Additionally, I wanted to raise awareness and show support for anyone with a diagnosis, their family, friends and loved ones.”
Thank you so much for your amazing support Kit. Could you run your own half marathon to raise funds and much needed awareness? Please get in touch with our fundraising team by emailing Fundraising@actionpf.org
