Working Age Information and Discussion Group

If you are of working age and have pulmonary fibrosis (PF), speak to others in a similar situation at the Working Age Information and Discussion Group.

What is the Working Age Information and Discussion Group?

It's an online meeting where you can talk about your experiences of living with PF, share your highs and lows, and know that you're not alone. You can find out more about pulmonary fibrosis and the support and information available to you.

What happens during a meeting?

A large part of each meeting will be an open discussion about all aspects of living with pulmonary fibrosis. There'll be an Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF) staff member present to help facilitate the meeting, but the discussion is guided by the group members. You're welcome to join in the discussion or just come along and listen.

Some meetings will have a scheduled speaker who will talk about living well with PF. This could be about pulmonary rehabilitation, talking to your family about PF, or looking after your mental health.

When is the group?

The 3rd Wednesday of every other month, from September 2024, 6pm - 7.30pm.

Who is the group for?

It’s for anyone of working age who is affected by pulmonary fibrosis.

If you are a family member, friend or carer, you may be interested in our APF Carers Community. You can connect with others in the online support group, and receive email updates specifically for family, friends and carers.

How do I join?

To join the group, or find out more, please email ypsg@actionpf.org.
