Support and connection

You may choose to stay away from others at times to avoid catching and spreading COVID-19. If you're spending time alone, see how you can stay connected to others on the phone or online.

Keep in touch with friends and family

  • Give them a call to see how they are doing
  • Video call using Whatsapp Video Call
  • Use a video platform such as Zoom or Skype

If you need any help using a smartphone or an online video system to stay connected to people you care about let us know. Email us on info@actionpf.org – we are here to help you!

If you've not used Zoom before, John Conway (St George’s ILD Support Group) explains how to use it in this fantastic video.

Staying connected with support groups

If you are a support group leader:

  • We can put you in touch with other group leaders.
  • Join our regular support group leader meeting. Learn from other group leaders and share ideas on how to get the most from your support group. For more information, email us at info@actionpf.org

If you are a member of a support group, or would like to be:

  • Ask your support group leader if they can put you in touch with someone else from the group via the phone. To find out more about local or shared interest support groups (such as carers or transplant) see our Support groups page, or we can link you up.

Call our support line

Our friendly support line team are here if you need to talk. You don't need to have a specific question to call us. We'll always listen to your story if you just need to talk.

Alternatively, you can email us on support@actionpf.org or you can request a call back by submitting the form on this webpage.
