Mike was diagnosed with IPF in May 2024, aged 51.
Mike and Lara got married this September after eight years together whilst he was ill in hospital, and just 2 days later he sadly passed away. 'Our wedding was heartbreakingly beautiful,' says Lara.
'APF is needed because sufferers and family members don't have anything else. There is no one else with the experience or knowledge, so without them we’d be in the dark.'
