“The idea to raise funds for APF came from a conversation with my dad and sister about our uncle Fergus and his illness with PF. Fergus passed away in Dec 2019 just a week before his 70th birthday".
As his illness progressed Fergus received great support from his family network but it really made us think about those without family support, so we began the fundraiser to help them in any small way we could
"My dad, sister and I completed over 500 miles of walking between the 3 of us in 7 weeks, my dad led from the front and covered more miles than any of us. We completed the challenge on my dads 70th birthday with a final 5k".
