Action For Pulmonary Fibrosis appoints new Director of Fundraising & Communications

March 19, 2025

Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF) – the leading UK charity for anyone affected by pulmonary fibrosis (lung scarring)– is delighted to announce the appointment of Lisa Trivett as their new Director of Fundraising and Communications.

Lisa brings over 20 years' experience specialising in health and NHS charities.  She joins APF from Scannappeal, a local Buckinghamshire charity, where she led the team to raise funds for life saving medical equipment for the NHS hospitals in the area.  Prior to that, she headed up the fundraising and engagement teams at Coeliac UK and Lymphoma Action, helping to drive sustainable income growth and patient involvement for both organisations.

Lisa is particularly interested in how fundraising and communications plays a crucial role in advocating for policy changes and better healthcare outcomes which can lead to long-term improvements in patient care and support. She is passionate about positively impacting the lives of people affected by pulmonary fibrosis.

On joining Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis, Lisa said:

I am delighted to join the amazing team at Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis. The charity has achieved so much since its conception over a decade ago. I am looking forward to driving the next phase and helping support the many people affected by this devastating lung scarring disease.

 ‍

Daniel Saxton, CEO of Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis, says:

Lisa’s experience and commitment to improving patient outcomes make her a fantastic addition to APF. Her leadership in fundraising and communications will be instrumental in driving the charity’s next phase of growth, ensuring we can support even more people affected by pulmonary fibrosis.
